A peacefully, rugged blend of Lavandin and Chamomile, so named to honor the beautiful and unique area my family calls home- the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!
It’s been said by so many that the Upper Peninsula is Michigan’s Best Kept Secret, and I couldn’t agree more! I grew up just a few hours from the Wisconsin-Michigan border and was completely unaware of the beauty, treasures and unique culture that the Upper Peninsula contained!
With 1,700 miles in Great Lakes’ coastline (most of that being Lake Superior) the area is nautically influenced by these distinctive shipping waters and hosts many shipwreck and lighthouse tours. It also contains a host of unique inland waters, like Lake of the Clouds and the Houghton Canal, along with rivers and waterfalls, all which provide opportunity for peaceful enjoyment. In addition, the U.P holds the highest point in Michigan, Mt. Arvon, along with other gorgeous elevations like Porcupine Mountains, Silver Mountain and Copper Harbor’s Brockway Mountain, a lookout to the ‘end of the earth’. The list of standout places goes on... Pictured Rocks, the Eben Ice Caves, Isle Royale, and of course, Mackinac Island (and all of its delectable fudge!?) along with such unique architectural structures as the Mackinac Bridge, the Houghton Canal Bridge and the Soo Locks.
With its millions of acres of forested and undeveloped land, the Upper Peninsula allows one to completely embrace the term 'wilderness'. Add to that the record winter snowfalls and the opportunities for winter sports like skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are outstanding. Then there are the long summer days which make it possible for one to fish, hike and explore in peaceful solitude until their heart’s content! And it’s hard to beat the Northern Light shows and clear night sky star gazing.
The history of the Upper Peninsula is just as unique as its natural sights- saturated in minerals and relived in mine tours, alongside Finnish heritage and culture which has been beautifully conserved and is still wholeheartedly celebrated. A place where the sauna is often the main means of bathing and so commonplace that not only are they a structure on every homestead, but even a necessity out at camp! Home to Moose, the Stormy Kromer, and everything Northernly wild, including the Thimbleberry, the Blueberry, and the abundant Wild Apple. Unique cuisine like pasties, Nisu and Whitefish (poor man’s lobster…) and giant sweetrolls, as delicious as they are famous nationwide!

It’s likely you’ll wonder why your skin feels so soft and healthy when you use this soap! Or perhaps you’ll just want to know what makes it lather well and last so long! Here's the secret…
This soap is made ‘from scratch’, in small batches, with all-natural ingredients specifically chosen for the character they lend to the final bar. Palm oil makes a hard, long lasting bar, coconut oil provides a quick, fluffy lather, and olive oil gently moisturizes the skin. Still, goat milk is perhaps the most outstanding ingredient in the mix! Loaded with vitamins and essential elements that nourish the skin, goat milk also breaks down the ‘glue’ holding dead skin cells together without drying or disturbing the skin’s natural pH! Thanks to the milk, this soap has the ability to ease inflammation and acne, soothe dry and damaged skin, reduce wrinkles, and delay signs of aging! A final touch of pure essential oil and/ all-natural fragrance oil makes this soap unbeatable in luxury!
